Privacy
Monaro.co.uk is a personal fan site run by me, Matt. It has no ads, and I never sell or share your details. This page explains the little it does collect, and why.
If you sign up for the race reports
I keep your email address so I can send you a short email after each round, plus the odd update on my Monaro build. The list is run by Kit, which stores the addresses for me. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the emails straight away.
If you turn on race alerts
Alerts are sent through OneSignal. When you tap Get race alerts and allow notifications, your browser creates a subscription ID. OneSignal stores it along with basic device details, such as the browser and language, so the alert reaches the right device. It doesn't include your name or email. Tap Turn off alerts on the site, or block notifications in your browser, to stop them.
Visitor numbers
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It uses no cookies and doesn't track you across other sites or identify you. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, briefly handles your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
Stored on your own device
If you close the Pit Board, your browser remembers that so it stays closed. If you add the site to your home screen, your phone keeps a copy of the pages so they load quickly. Neither of these is sent to me. Clearing your browser's data for this site removes them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I'll sort it out within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
